Christmas present
“It doesn’t have to be fun, to be fun” Mark Twain
Couple of days ago I decided to delete my Facebook account. That’s mostly because I was spending WAY too much time on that site and the value added is very close to nil. Having said that, I already (somehow) regret it, as I forgot about St Andrew, and I have more than a few friends named Andrei/Andreea. Ah well, I’ll see how it goes, and decide in a couple of days whether I reactivate it or just let it get deleted.
Apart from this, as I’m writing this post, I’m taking a break from bag packing. I’m leaving this afternoon for South America, for a month. First real holiday in a while. To be honest, it seems to me as if it’s a bit too short a period, but it’s not like I can get any more free days than I already did. Which is honestly a shame.
My first focus for this trip is Patagonia. I’m going for some 8 days in Torres del Paine with the tent, with the intention of doing the full Paine circuit. After that, there will be a few days spent in El Chalten and El Calafate. Highlights include glacier Perito Moreno, trekking in the Los Glaciares national park, taking some shots of Cerro Torre and Cerro Chalten, and generally enjoying the scenery.
I should be landing tomorrow morning in Buenos Aires and I’ll be posting some more once I get there. For now, as one of my friends told me, “Vaya con Dios”
